President Pezeshkian Of Iran Issues A Warning About Regional Instability In Light Of US Threats.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) over the phone following the arrival of an American aircraft carrier in the area amid mounting concerns about a potential clash with the US or Israel.

In response to Tehran’s assault on protestors, which has resulted in thousands of deaths, the US has hinted in recent weeks that it is thinking of attacking Iran. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier has been dispatched to the area by US President Donald Trump.

In the Tuesday chat with the leader of Saudi Arabia, Pezeshkian attacked US “threats,” claiming they were “aimed at disrupting the security of the region, and will achieve nothing other than instability.”

According to a statement released by Pezeshkian’s office on Tuesday, “the president pointed to recent pressures and hostilities against Iran, including economic pressure and external interference, stating that such actions had failed to undermine the resilience and awareness of the Iranian people.”

Prince Mohammed “welcomed the dialogue and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to regional stability, security, and development,” according to the statement.

According to the report, “he emphasized the importance of solidarity among Islamic countries and stated that Riyadh rejects any form of aggression or escalation against Iran.” He also added that Riyadh is prepared to establish “peace and security across the region.”

Following the call, Prince Mohammed informed Pezeshkian that Riyadh would not permit its territory or airspace to be used for military operations against Tehran, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

According to SPA, “HRH the Crown Prince affirmed during the call the Kingdom’s position in respecting Iran’s sovereignty, stressing that the Kingdom will not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military actions against Iran or for any attacks from any party, regardless of their origin.”

The news agency continued, “HRH the Crown Prince also affirmed the Kingdom’s support for any efforts aimed at resolving disputes through dialogue in a manner that enhances security and stability in the region.”

“The Iranian president conveyed his appreciation for the role played by HRH the Crown Prince in exerting efforts and initiatives to achieve security and stability in the region and thanked the Kingdom for its unwavering position on respecting Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

“Our neighbors are our friends.”

Following Trump’s repeated threats to strike Iran amid Tehran’s deadly crackdown on antigovernment protesters this month, the two leaders had a phone conversation. The US president said he hoped he wouldn’t need to utilize the “armada” he sent towards Iran last week.

In a speech in Iowa on Tuesday, Trump reiterated his threats and claimed that a sizable “armada” was on its way to Iran, urging Tehran to comply with US demands.

By the way, another stunning armada is currently gliding elegantly in the direction of Iran. In his speech, Trump stated, “So we’ll see.”

“I’m hoping they reach an agreement. I’m hoping they reach an agreement. The first time, they ought to have struck a bargain. He seemed to be referring to the US attacks on Iran in June of last year when he said, “They’d have a country.”

A commander from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned his country’s neighbors on Tuesday amid mounting worries of a new conflict.

The Fars news agency cited Mohammad Akbarzadeh, political deputy of the IRGC’s naval forces, as stating, “Neighboring countries are our friends, but if their soil, sky, or waters are used against Iran, they will be considered hostile.”

In June 2025, Israel launched a series of attacks on Iran that targeted nuclear facilities, high military officials, and nuclear experts. Then, in order to bombard three nuclear sites in Iran, the US entered the 12-day conflict.

On the eve of a scheduled session of talks between the US and Iran regarding Tehran’s nuclear program, the conflict broke out.

Talks have not restarted despite Trump’s repeated demands that Iran abandon its nuclear program and stop uranium enrichment since the battle.

A US official declared on Monday that Washington was “open for business” with Iran.

When questioned about negotiations with Iran, the official told reporters, “I think they know the terms.” “They understand the terms.”

The International Crisis Group’s Iran Project director, Ali Vaez, told R2E that there is “near zero” chance that Iran will comply with US demands.

According to Iran’s leaders, “compromise under pressure doesn’t alleviate it but rather invites more.” Vaez remarked.

However, Iran has threatened to retaliate if an attack is conducted while the US military increases its presence in the area.

A spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that a strike on Iran might have repercussions for the entire region.

“Regional countries fully understand that any security breach in the region will not affect Iran only,” Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters. There is an infectious lack of security.
